blogged Thanksgiving a.m. '08 and friday following.

2nd,....I must add that friends are core to my being thankful this and most years to now.

HOME after working "Black Friday" in retail, and after logging onto CNN.com found that an employee working in another store like mine in another part of the country, died due to the holiday rush,...now ain't that something? 'tis sad truly, but people can be savages, materialistic *@#$(&^%%$#!!!!! fortunately, Officers with the Sheriff's dept were present most of the day for the fun! This made me feel? NOt so blowing in the wind as is the case most days. All for now,.............b

my world,..... at the moment? Not bad. 'tis Thanksgiving in this United States, 0500 hrs. I work today from 7a-4p and work tomorrow, "black friday" 5a-2p. IN RETAIL! ughh. First time I've revealed this (most already knew,...just not exactly where?) Phoned Parents yesterday, they are spending a quiet Thanksgiving on "their little island)" Jekyll Island. My father gives tours in the historic district (much history this island has). Seems like a great job for him in his retirement though recently the tours have gotten fewer and his hours reduced due to downturn in the economy. Don't imagine?....well I'd like to imagine! I might get a "gig" like that in my retirement if I make it to those years?

Pics are of April visit taken with my Sister Wendy. Asst. sites on island, Parents having a nice little place there. (not shown)
All for the moment,.... I'm feeling Well? So?...... Happy Thanksgiving,...Happy Holidays all!

Happy late Thanksgiving. Jim and I were appalled when we heard about the trampled worker too. Jim saw video of people rushing through the doors of Macy's at some ungodly hour of the morning to start shopping. Very sad, the rampant materialism. But does it keep the economy going???

Yes we need it, but I don't have to like the scene of it all.

KNowing and living within your means? COME ON people? Wanting and having are not all bad, just the lengths people are willing to go to, the violence.
Buying a big screen tv, wishing they'd take your wic card. I saw this scene today.
I want to have a happy christmas, filled with the love of friends and family and maybe a good meal? I can dream.......................
