Nothing Good Lasts Forever

It's beautiful outside this morning, but this is a rather sad day for me.
Life is a Trip.
For more than half my life (about 26 years), I've felt grounded in a way, just knowing they were there. As time has gone by, the bond I feel for these people has grown. The Langdons, Charlie and Nancy, Son Christopher, daughter Denneen, and Kenneth a proud Marine.
They have been so good to me all these years, and notably following my motorcycle mishap in Jan '89.
I was in outpatient rehab for five or more months after about 5 inpatient, having both physical and cognitive therapy. My sister would drop me off at the bus stop in the morning and I'd travel downtown and link up with one to Easter Seals.
At the end of my day, buses were caught and I'd end up near the restaurant. As I recall, they'd feed me and gave me a ride home at times?
Nancy and Charlie opened The Pizza Shack in the 1982, then changed the name to
Charlie's Pizza and Italian Restaurant.
They were Family to me as they were to many through the years.
You see, the doors they are closing tonight the lights? turning out.
Charlie is retiring

It was High School, 1982 and I was playing Soccer. Along came this 'new' guy from up North, he was skilled, seemed cool enough? This of course was Christopher, Nancy and Charlie's eldest.
We became very good friends. Then there was Denneen an attractive younger sister, that being said?

The family feeling had for this group?? kept me at bay,..... So? I began working for Charlie delivering Pizza and other Italian delectables to the locals and sometimes the not so local?
WELL?
It was a very good gig for a high school kid, delivering not just pizza, but working for a family that I grew to love as my own.
This? Just a post, not feeling good enough to present?
However, something must be said by me, this day.
