Simple Pleasures

Did, it deserve this? YES,..as this little sandwich (one of two) brought a smile to my face.
It might be good for me to reach for Joy, align myself with people, places and things that will allow me to experience this more often. Those three things, coupled with imagination? (reminded recently of the importance of a mind full of flavor, color, texture....) Well.......another smile just came upon my face. Also the stacking of the contents on the sandwich actually wasn't planned! Is not the typical order of things? But I didn't let that detract from my time with it.

The image first, I purchased this two weeks back, I do hope the very good people and www.coolvintagewatches.com don't mind me using this awesome photo? Anyway, they are good people there. And I do like this watch! This Ernest Borel "DATOPTIC" magnified date/under the crystal. Is not a 'high end' watch, but from all I've read a very well made piece, with a quality movement. Is a 17 jewel automatic from 50's? The advertisement. said 60's, but in an email from person that worked on watch, said it's from 50's. Is unfortunate that in '89 they sold out to Asian interests after more than 100 years,... est. 1856 to be precise?

Purchased today (for a few bucks), 11/22 online, a 1955 magazine ad for American National Retail Jewelers Association (ANRJA) "introducing" this watch among others.
SO, guess I've nailed down the date? We shall see. Aside from the fact there are millions of potential readers of this entrY? I feel as though it is for my eyes only, sometimes....most times.
